Some inventions begin with an idea.

Angel Guard began with two children.

While serving as a firefighter and first responder, I responded to two pediatric burn emergencies less than twelve hours apart. Those two calls changed everything. 

The first was a three-year-old little girl who had pulled a pot of boiling soup from the stove and suffered devastating burns. She was airlifted to a regional burn center.

Twelve hours later, another call came in.

An eighteen-month-old little boy climbed onto a step stool, reached for his bottle sitting in a pot of boiling water, and pulled the entire pot into his lap. He was airlifted too.

Most firefighters move on to the next emergency.

I couldn’t.

“I didn’t invent Angel Guard because I wanted to start a cookware company. I invented it because I couldn’t stop thinking about those children.”

I started asking one important question:  "Why are we still relying on gravity to keep cookware on the stove?"

That question led to years of research, engineering, testing, and multiple U.S. patents.

Eventually, it became Angel Guard™—The World’s First Locking Cookware System.

Years late, the mission became personal.

Our own daughter suffered severe burns from boiling water.

As a firefighter, I’d seen the heartbreak. As a father, I lived it.

That day didn’t start the mission. It strengthened it.

Today, Angel Guard is about more than cookware. It’s about protecting families. It’s about giving parents greater peace of mind.

Because children are curious.

Parents are busy.

And accidents happen in seconds.
